Sending document version by email, remove date/time from filename extention

Hi,
sending docs version by email works, but, the file extension is “poluted” with the date/time…

So the problem: when I try to open the file, as windows doesn t recognize the file extension I have to manualy select “open with… adobepdf”…

is there a way to remove this “date/time” from the filename sent by email ?

I’m searching for a workaround as well, since the system does not support sending the file without the timestamp… Hope there is a way to change the position of the date tag to be even before the file name to avoid confusion. I do not know if there is a way to zip them in a generic name e.g. edmsfiles.zip and send the zip file instead…

We can try to add a checkbox in the submission form that prevents the time stamp to be added to the filename when attaching to the email.

However this will predictably open the door for tickets when emails attachments stop working when users attempt to attach more than one document with the same filename.

I noticed today that when exporting a version of the file the extension is added at the end of the file (tablet.pdf (Dec. 12, 2024, 10_24 a.m.).pdf), which would acceptable for emails! Maybe when forming the name for attaching something different is happening?
