The question which leads me to this feature request is:
How do you include only document versions in your search result, that are active versions? @Mayan-Community: Is this not a common use case, to search only for the active versions and only in edge cases including also the old versions?
Would it be useful to extend the advanced search UI form and add a checkbox “active” in the section “Document version” (there is currently only the “comments” text field)?
Thanks for your thoughts!

That is an interesting use case.
I did a quick experiment and enabled the active field for document versions.
The issue is that the search engines and Mayan’s search interface is meant for full text searches and this shows as the field is rendered as a text box and not a check box.
There is support for boolean data types but not in the UI.
Since there is some work done, I’ve tagged this to attempt for inclusion in the next version.
Thanks for the request!

Follow-up:
For my use cases it would also be useful to add this search-parameter to the search for page-versions (documents.documentversionpagesearchresult
)?
What do you think?
