I’m contacting you in order to get advice on modifying report templates in Mayan EDMS. I’ve been examining the platform and am really impressed with its capability, but I’m having some trouble customising reports to better meet the requirements of our company.
I’m attempting to figure out specifically how to:
Adapt Current Templates: I’m curious in the process of accessing and adjusting current report templates. Are there any files or settings in particular that I should be aware of? 
Are there any suggested best practices for changing something without changing the default settings?
Make Custom The templates: Is it feasible to start from scratch when creating a new report template? If yes, could you offer any advice or resources on how to go about doing this? Any templates or samples would be very beneficial.
Employ Variables & Dynamic Content: It appears that reports have the ability to incorporate dynamic content. Could someone please explain how to pull in changing information from within templates using variables? Incorporating individual fields and document information greatly interests me.
What are the most suitable methods for testing and troubleshooting customised templates? I want to be sure that whatever adjustments I make don’t interfere with the reporting procedure.
