Field to add a URL

Hi,

Please find hereby the following feature request.

I have been trying to add a URL to a document to no avail.
The preview is always a jpg file and hence not clickable.
And URL’s are not recognized in fields like comments etc…

Would it be possible to add a field which shows a clickable URL (via link & link text combo)
I have a lot of summaries on Mayan (I’m not allowed to add the full document). A link to open the file on another server would be welcome. My workaround now is to add a html rich file which one needs to download first (via files, fast download), open it from the download section in the browser in order to click the link inside.

Any suggestions or can my feature request be considered please.
