Hi,
Is there a possibility to view pdfs with an external viewer? Like the browser-integrated one. I find browsing pdfs with many pages a bit tedious as there is no ability to scroll and zoom easily.
Thanks
Hello - Please excuse bumping an old post.
I would like to ask the same question as “studioel”.
Is there a way to view the actual pdf inline ( or open in another tab ) rather than the generated image of the pdf.
Regards
Hi,
The converter system is optimized for generated images to allow other features like non destructive re-composition of pages, dynamic redactions, and non destructive transformations.
Adding an external viewer would negate those features, it could also be counter productive to security since it requires bypassing some of the access control features that are part of the image generation pipeline (like image layer control for redactions and watermarks).
We’ve performed integrations with external viewers including medical DICOM and others, but these are domain specific custom forks that we maintain under a custom support package.
Hi Roberto
Ok understood. I will take this back to my user community.
Maybe the custom support is an option - I will see what their appetite is for that.
Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
