I was thinking …

Would it be an idea to use pdf (with ocr) as standard preview format instead of jpg despite the fact that you can upload different type of documents?
This way it would be easier to hightlight searches with the use of pdf.js

Use webp as the thumbnail format?
Because smaller and quicker

What do you think?

I have thought about that, too!
Sometimes I just want to quickly open a PDF and copy some text.

A preview for .eml files (e-mails) and HTML files would be nice.
