It seems authoritarians have a thing for making rules they love to break themselves.

The Linux kernel just axed some long-time Russian devs from their mailing list as well as from the MAINTAINERS and CREDITS files, basically erasing their contributions and handicapping future contributions. Anyone who dared speak out against the decision got the boot too.
