Automatically adding documents to a cabinet

Post by jirib » Sun Jul 14, 2019 10:51 am

Hi,

I'm new so please apologize my confusion ;)

I have a file system directory which I'd like to use as 'source' and this directory has a directory structure based on topis of documents.

Can I automatically create and populate Mayan EDMS in a way that each document is put to a cabinet which corresponds to source directory name?

Example:

/documents/<topic A>/document1.pdf

cabinet name would be: topic A

Or do I have to write a script which would use API to do that?

Thank you for answer.

Hi,

At the moment the sources model will just scan and import files but will not mirror the disk structure as cabinets. This would be indeed something that would be done via the API using a Python client and the requests library.

Some examples in: https://docs.mayan-edms.com/topics/integration.html#api
