Mayan on Synology DSM Docker - Migrating from SQLITE to Postgresql

Post by Kdrums » Tue May 14, 2019 11:02 am

Hello guys!

I've setup Mayan on my DS718+ today, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to change from SQLite to postgresql.
I installed a postgresql image in docker too, I changed the variables inside the Mayanedms-> Setup -> Databases to
ENGINE: django.db.backends.postgresql, but then when I shutdown my docker instance and try to run it again, Mayan won't start.
Any helpful pointers or a guide would be truly appreciated.
Thank you!

Installations on Synology are not officially supported or documented since we don't have any on hand to perform tests on. If a sponsor steps up and send us one we could add a official Synology support and an installation guide in the documentation.

I got it working using a TurnKey Linux solution on my windows server, through VMBox. Is there anything in the documentation on how to point Mayan to save documents on a mapped NAS folder, and how to make it accessible through a domain name?
