document_analyzer added to docker image?

Post by majerus » Tue Mar 12, 2019 10:50 pm

Is there a docker image of Mayan EDMS with document_analyzer built in? I noticed the source is under the same organization as Mayan EDMS and thought maybe there was a chance this was the case. I am really looking for something that can use ocr and make regex for a bill date and set it as metadata.

The document analyser app is a fork of the Mayan EXIF app (https://gitlab.com/mayan-edms/exif). The code from the three versions is being added as a core app in Mayan and will be available in the next version as the "File Metadata app" (https://gitlab.com/mayan-edms/mayan-edm ... 0a428d22b3).

As for using regular expressions, we've also replaced the Django template engine with the Jinja2 template engine across the board. This engine provides many more tags to process data and extract information to be used as document properties (http://jinja.pocoo.org/docs/2.10/templa ... in-filters).

These two changes are already in the development version and will be available in the next release (Version 4.0).

Awesome sounds great! Is it pretty easy to install a nightly build, or is there a alpha or beta container? I would be intrested in helping document some of the how to stuff. As there isn't much as it stands at the moment.

Also is there an expected release date for the next version?
