Support for Kubernetes

Post by ryantraton »

Greetings,

We have been using Mayan EDMS for our company and like it very much. We are planning to expand our usage of Mayan to branch offices but are concerned that the performance of a single Compose deployment will not be enough.

Are there plans to provide official support for Mayan on Kubernetes?

We've tried the few Helm charts found around but they do not seem to be fully implemented and would prefer something from the development team itself if possible.

Thanks!

Hi,

Support for Mayan EDMS on Kubernetes clusters is available as part of the support and consultation services agreement.

We have developed a Helm Chart that allows deploying Mayan in multiple modes. It can deploy its own services like Redis, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL or use those services from the cloud provider. It can also use block storage, object storage via a deployed Minio server or object storage from the cloud provider. Lastly, the layout of the deployment can be customized via the values.yaml file to support multiple types of workloads.

We have been successfully deploying the Helm Chart on IBM Cloud's Kubernetes product and Minikube for development, but it was designed to abstract the vendor portions of the Kubernetes deployment.

If you would like more information just send an email to info@mayan-edms.com with the details of your project.

Best regards.
