Changing the hostname breaks celery

Post by miket »

I installed mayan-edms following the Direct Install instructions on a VM running Ubuntu 20.04. Got it up and running without any problem.

I wanted to create a second installation (to have a separate development/testing/playground instance and production instance). But rather than do everything from scratch, lazy me made a copy of the VM and simply changed the hostname (using hostnamectl set-hostname) and edited /etc/hosts as well. After rebooting the second VM, celery doesn't run anymore. I reverted to the original hostname and celery runs ok. So it seems I need to make changes elsewhere. Did some grep'ing around /etc and /opt/mayan-edms but couldn't find anything.

Help is highly appreciated.
