Converting from SQLite to Postgresql database

Post by pachimzar »

I am getting the following warning," Database Warning: Your database backend is set to use SQLite. SQLite should only be used for development and testing, not for production." I can not find clear and complete instructions to convert or migrate from SQLite to my Postgresql Database, I see several subcommands of mayan-edms.py that might work. However, I can not find any information or manual to use the subcommands properly.

My mayan.conf shows the following:
[supervisord]
environment=
PYTHONPATH="/home/myvenv/mayan-edms/media/mayan_settings",
DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE=mayan.settings.production,
MAYAN_MEDIA_ROOT="/home/myvenv/mayan-edms/media",
MAYAN_ALLOWED_HOSTS="['*']",
MAYAN_CELERY_RESULT_BACKEND="redis://127.0.0.1:6379/1",
MAYAN_CELERY_BROKER_URL="redis://127.0.0.1:6379/0",
MAYAN_DATABASES="{default: {ENGINE: django.db.backends.postgresql, HOST: 127.0.0.1, NAME: mayan, PASSWORD: mayanuserpass, USER: mayan}}"

I was thinking the last statement would direct Mayan-Edms to use my postgresql database. I thought wrong. Can anyone help me find the correct procedure or instructions to migrate from SQLite to Postgresql database?
Thanks for your help.
Paul
