How to use metadata field to contain more than one value (e.g. list of values)

Post by myn80 » Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:23 pm

Hello all,

I am trying to configure a metadata field to accept multiple values as an unordered list. Specifically, I want to put in a list of authors for a document as a comma separated (or whatever) list. Ideally ['Person1','Person2']=['Person2','Person1'] for searching/filtering. it would be especially great if the little drop-down menu which will complete/let you select previous entries could enable tab complete. I envision something like how you can add recipients to an email in any email client. It seems like a similar enhancement was proposed (https://github.com/mayan-edms/mayan-edms/issues/177) though I am not familiar enough with it to understand why it was closed.

Hopefully I accurately described what I'm trying to accomplish. I'm just getting started with Mayan, so I apologize in advance if my questions are covered elsewhere. I am also open to suggestions for any alternative approach.

Thanks!
