How to automatically assign a new document to a cabinet

Post by Mike » Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:16 am

Hi

I just installed Mayan and like it so far. I configured the source as an pop3 mail account, which does import the documents perfectly fine. Is there any solution to assign this new documents to a "unassigned cabinet", so I can chack this folder from time to time and move the documents to the correct cabinet?

Hi,

you can create a workflow with a state action that will just add the documents to the cabinet.

1-Create workflow.
2-Add 1 state.
3-Add state action to the state to add to the cabinet.
4-Assign the workflow to the desired document type.

that should be it.

Please post back your results. Thanks!

Hi

Thanks a lot for your help. Everything is clear, only this point I don't know how to do this:

3-Add state action to the state to add to the cabinet.

When I try to add a state action, I can only choose from the following:

- Attache Tag
- Grant Access
- Grant Document Access
- Modify the Properties of a Document
- Perform a Post request
- Remove Tag
- Revoke Access
- Revoke document access

I can't find a "assign cabinet". How can I do this?

Regards
Michael

You are correct, my mistake. This action is not available in version 3.2.7, it is being worked on for version 3.3.
