Using Woosh when the local file system is disabled

Hi,

I’m running v4.4.8 on a K8S cluster with an S3 storage backend. The local file system is completely disabled and so all storage is done on the S3 backend. Woosh is used as the search engine but when performing a search it never returns a result. Is it possible to use Woosh without using the local file system? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

No, this is not possible at least not as currently implemented.

This would required changes to the way Whoosh is interfaced with Mayan which are beyond the scope of the search backend as shipped.
