Hi,

Attempted this change but drf-spectacular was not a drop-in replacement for drf-yasg. In addition we have custom code to support some drf-yasg shortcomings which will need to be revised/removed.

The work is not inconsequential and given that it has the potential to affect something as stable as the API it will not be attempted now in the late stages of version 4.8 development.

This will be retried once the development window for version 4.9 starts.

This would be great to then have correctly generated openapi 3 specs.
I will then gladly make a guide how to generate the client.
