Re: Upgrade from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5 - LockError() while Search Indexing

You should probably switch to another search engine like Elastic Search.

Upgrade from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5 - OCR, Parsing etc. not working anymore

Dear Community! We recently upgraded our Mayan EDMS installation (based on docker-compose) from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5. This will be the last "issue" to report for the meantime. After fixing the sources, documents are getting imported and shown in the "Recently created" section. Unfortu...

Upgrade from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5 - LockError() while Search Indexing

Dear Community! We recently upgraded our Mayan EDMS installation (based on docker-compose) from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5. On the previous installation, we already have enabled Whoosh to have quick fulltext search functionality. After upgrade we discovered that the search index was empty (no results found for...

Upgrade from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5 - Sources not working anymore (solved)

Dear Community! We recently upgraded our Mayan EDMS installation (based on docker-compose) from 4.0.22 to 4.2.5. After upgrade we found that the sources were not working at all. "Test" and "Error log" were empty but looking at the container logs, we found some "ModuleNotFoun...

Re: Users missing after upgrade

I had the same problem.

For some reason the backend module was "Null" in my case.

I simply deleted and recreated all sources, problem fixed.

Re: Lost documents in file system, database + preview still existent

Thanks for your reply! Feedback to your questions is below. I have some new findings which might explain partly the issues I've seen: Back in September we noticed that many duplicated documents exist (around 5000). This is because documents put into the watch folder are often imported twice. To avoi...

Lost documents in file system, database + preview still existent

Dear all, we are using Mayan EDMS for quite some time now. Our version is 4.0.15 which was upgraded from 3.x a while ago. Just recently we notice that some documents cannot be opened. Logs show irritating messages django.http.response.Http404: No Document found matching the query mayan.apps.logging....

Help on upgrade postgresql from docker-compose deployment

Dear Mayan EDMS team, dear community! In a test environment I'm testing the upgrade from 3.5.8 to 4.0.1 using the latest docker-compose script from https://gitlab.com/mayan-edms/mayan-edms/-/tree/master/docker I'm aware that the postgresql version has been updated and that a database dump/restore is...

Re: Version 3.5 with RabbitMQ = Hundreds of Processes, OOM Killer

With the RabbitMQ data directory removed and the container recreated, it stays calm for the meantime. Looks well. I keep it watching very closely. Due to OCR we have assigned 24 vCPU to the machine and 32GB RAM. It'll be interesting once many new documents are imported and processed. Thanks again fo...

Re: Version 3.5 with RabbitMQ = Hundreds of Processes, OOM Killer

Thanks a lot for your quick and extensive reply! The more I think about the issue and observe the behavior of the system, the more I think that this could be less related to the broker but to the way the processes are started. With Redis I see many times N CPU processes soffice.bin with a reasonable...
