Reverting to 3.5.x

Hi I am experiencing far too many issues with the 4.0.x release of Mayan - is it possible to revert ot a 3.5.x release in a direct deployment without too many issues? I could be mistaken, but it appears there are many unresolved issues that impinge on the stability of the 4.x release. Anyone have an...

Re: 4.0.2 download issue

Hi @bebef I have to agree, it isn't very obvious in the new version where to find the download link (it seems you have to select a document preview, then Files from the action menu, then Quick download from the document action menu) - not as intuitive as the 3.x.x version Very frustrating, and if I ...

Re: Assistance offered to create user help

Hi Michael

I couldn't find a way to PM you directly, so have sent a message via the Admin link that contains a download link for the help I have created - please do not share these publically.

Regards

4.0.2 download issue [SOLVED]

Hi again Another problem I have having with 4.0.2. Although I can quick download a single document, there no longer appears to be a way to download multiple documents. I have looked everywhere I can think of to find a way to download, but all I can find is the option to email the documents or send a...

Re: Assistance offered to create user help

Hello Michael My written guides are in `.pdf` and `.chm` format (sorry for the bias towards Windoze, but that's the infrastructure my company uses) - I can also convert these to HTML and Markdown. The video files (in `.MP4` format) are in progress and there are only two or three at the moment. All t...

Indexing problem after upgrade to 4.0.2

Hi I recently upgraded to Mayam 4.0.2 following the instructions on the website. After a little problem being able to view documents (which I resolved following the help in this forum) all is working fine, except: None of my documents are indexed (I only use the default creation date index at the mo...

Re: Changing default view

Hi Michael
The branch which this is already usable but doesn't meet our code standards and missed the merge windows for version 4.0. It has been rescheduled for version 4.1.
That is good to hear - just have to be patient now!

Re: File size upload limit

Hello Michael

Thank you for your prompt response.
Try increasing the Gunicorn timeout and/or adding more memory for the installation.
That did the trick! I had to increase the timeout to 600 seconds (to allow upload of larger files).

Thank you again

Assistance offered to create user help

Hi As a professional technical author (and a Mayan user), I would be happy to lend my skills in producing user guides/books as help for users - I have already created user help for my company in HTML, PDF and CHM formats (and incorporated all the changes up to 3.5.8). I am happy to lend my skills to...

Allow add new documents from tree view

Hi It would (I think) be really useful to allow users to select the destination for new documents from a tree view rather than a dialog box - this assumes users know the directory structure: just like the view when you look at cabinets. Is this possible, or could it be added? It seems somewhat count...
