LDAP broken after attempting upgrade to 3.5.x

I had LDAP working in versions 3.4.x, but after trying to upgrade to 3.5.x (I have tried 3.5.1 and 3.5.4) I continue to get: creating build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.7/Modules x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc -pthread -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O2 -Wall -g -fstack-protector-strong -Wformat -Werror=format-security -Wdate-ti...

Re: How to set up Mayan EDMS to authenticate against LDAP

I just tried upgrading from 3.4.17 to 3.5.1. Right now I am seeing this in the logs: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'ldap' I haven't changed anything in my ldap settings file, until I noticed that there were some additional changes to Python3 in version 3.5 of Mayan. So far I've tried updating...

Re: Used Impersonate and impersonated user acquired extra permissions

Hi, I have tried to replicate the problem today, but unfortunately have not been able to. I was using the impersonate feature from a superuser account if that makes a difference. I will also note that this happened on version 3.4.6. I am now running version 3.4.9. I would still like to know if there...

Used Impersonate and impersonated user acquired extra permissions

Hello, I have been really excited about the impersonate feature because it helps me verify that users ACLs and permissions are working as I intend them. I ran into an issue today (and unfortunately can't seem to find a log to prove it/disprove it) where it appeared the user I impersonated gained add...

Re: LDAP integration problems

Great! I am so glad. I am sorry that my reply didn't post yesterday. I was able to setup groups and roles in Mayan, but I haven't found a way to mass add/import users to the groups based on their LDAP groups. I was hoping to find a way to import users without needing to have each of them login once ...

Action to remove a document from a workflow once it hits a completed state

Hi, I have a workflow setup that I use for Incoming Submissions. I have about four stages in this workflow. We decided on setting up a workflow rather than a cabinet for a few reasons: 1. The sources section does not have an option to place a document directly into a cabinet that I have found. 2. Se...

Re: LDAP integration problems

Hi, I had similar issues when I was setting up LDAP using the Docker install method. Did you create a super user in Mayan that matches a user in your LDAP before including the LDAP settings? I suppose that step might be a little different between Docker and Direct, but it made the difference between...

Re: How to set up Mayan EDMS to authenticate against LDAP

Thanks for taking the time to write this out, Rob! I was able to set up LDAP using the Simple Docker method on version 3.3.16. I tested again setting up LDAP using Docker compose for version 3.4.3 on a different machine and it worked well! I had two tidbits to share with anyone else looking at this ...

Re: IMAP Source and Metadata types for Document Type Timeout

I believe that I found my answer.

Thanks so much, Rob for your help. I'll considered this solved and start a different forum post if the original errors reappear!

Re: IMAP Source and Metadata types for Document Type Timeout

Hi Rob, I pulled down 3.3.7 and walked through the installation. It appears though that Postgres is having a hard time connecting? Log below: docker logs -f mayan-edms mayan: starting entrypoint.sh mayan: update_uid_gid() mayan: os_package_installs() mayan: pip_installs() mayan: performupgrade() JSO...
