Re: Failed to start Mayan EDMS on docker

You mean for the Mayan admin? The password is set randomly at install time, and displayed every time you visit your site's login page until you change it in the admin user pages.

Re: Failed to start Mayan EDMS on docker

It looks like the Postgres container is not happy with the files in the mayan-edms volume: in the container run command, you can see "-v /docker-volumes/mayan-edms/postgres:/var/lib/postgresql/data", which maps the container's /var/lib/postgresql/data to the host's /docker-volumes/mayan-edms/postgre...

Did step 5 (running the Postgresql container which should create the "mayan" database) display anything out of the ordinary?

Re: Versioning and workflows - a "draft" system?

Hi, I am "another user". :) I'm interested in this feature, essentially because reviews where I work are used to bump a document's "official" version, so we need to upload a "candidate" unofficial version for reviewers to review, but the rest of the users need to still see the "official" one (and in...

Re: Versions, workflows and privileges

Hi, I don't kow if you're misunderstanding the concepts, but at least I am misunderstanding just like you are :) I would sum up my problem as: - currently, a tag applies to a document, whereas I would like it to apply to a document version (e.g., only version 20 has tag "applicable", version 15 has ...

Re: Advice on setting up a Mayan instance

Thanks for the advice. I'll go for the separate production (direct install) and dev setups.

Re: Advice on setting up a Mayan instance

Thank you for the very instructive feedback! Regarding separating the DB and data, that's duly noted -- thanks! Regarding PRs, I may not have been explicit enough, my bad; I was not thinking about being allowed to PR,I was thinking about how I should set up my Mayan instance to make it easy to turn ...

Advice on setting up a Mayan instance

Hello all, I need to set up an Mayan instance which will serve both as a production-ready PoC and a development platform, and I am wondering which approach between direct deployment and docker install would better fit the bill. My constraints are: It will run in a Debian Buster VM with unattended upg...

Re: Setting the DOCUMENTS_LANGUAGE parameter has no effect

Thanks for the heads-up. This indeed works when I set both the default language to French and the list of language to French only. However, I'd reduced the list only as a bug investigation measure; in my actual setup I need to be able to choose between various languages, with French the default but ...
